The Eel is a fun river to fish from a drift boat. Starting from the mouth to up past Garberville on the South Fork, there are literally dozens of different “runs” that you can do in a boat. This gives you the opportunity to fish ideal water conditions and also have a run all to yourself. Some of the hardest fighting fish I have caught have been on this river.
